Black Screen Of Death

With the release of Windows 11 coming out late 2021 there has been a lot of new additions to this already established operating system.

Those with Android devices will be pleased to learn that you will be able to access Android apps. You could do this on Windows 10 but Windows 11 allows you to actually download them directly to your PC.

New taskbar, updated start menu and even a new start up sound.

There are many other new features and I am sure more things will be added before the final release.

But why are we mentioning about a new operating system on a repair website? Well if you have a PC or a Laptop you may have unfortunately come across the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) at some point.

I know these crash screens have very dramatic names but they can be devastating especially with more and more of us putting our entire lives on to our home computers.

What is a BSOD? Well in the most simplistic terms it means you have an error. In more technical terms the blue screen will show up when there has been a stop error or exception error and it is displayed in white writing on a blue background. It indicates a system crash basically, where the operating system can no longer operate safely. This can be caused by many different things such as hardware failure and sometimes software failure.

Windows 11 will be scrapping the Blue Screen Of Death with.... A Black Screen of Death. So the acronym doesn't change, just the colour.

If you have experienced this recently book your pc in with us and we can diagnose any problems it is having.
