Does your laptop have a cracked screen?
At Computer Resolve Services we specialize in laptop cracked screen repairs. We know how annoying it is when your laptop screen has got a dreaded crack or black splodge.
A cracked laptop screen may not be as expensive to replace as you think. As a general rule the bigger the screen the more expensive the LCD part will be, though we have also encountered smaller screens that also cost more than the regular 15" size screens.
Prices vary for the LCD screen part but we charge from £50.00 for laptop screen replacement. Most screen replacements will cost a total of £130.00. We also include an exclusive 1 year warranty on all screen replacements (though we do not recommend repair of touchscreens).
In order to get the correct replacement screen for your computer, we will need to locate the part number on the reverse side of the screen. You can find replacement screens for your laptop model online, however these are often times incorrect or for a slightly different version in the same laptop model line. We will always use the part number VS the model number and for that reason you will need to leave your laptop with us in order to confirm the correct replacement part. Once we have the correct part number we can proceed with repair. Ordered replacement screens tend to arrive at our workshop within 48 hours.
If you have a broken touch screen system, most of the time a repair is uneconomical. The reason is usally due to the glass digitizer part.
Most glass digitizers are glued directly onto LCD's. Removal will be nearly impossible without damaging the LCD underneath. As a result it is recommended to purchase a complete new display assembly. If the glass is not glued to the LCD, repair of just the glass digitizer can be possible.
We do not recommend replacing touchscreens when it is uneconomical to do so.
